It looks like the doctor was rushing a bit — quite a lot of information on the right side is not filled in. My assumption is with this being a Quarantine hospital, he had quite the stack of them on his desk.

Frank Morey's Death Certificate

Following our luck with finding Henry Thompson's death certificate, we went looking for some of the others, and lo! we found them! All except for Henry Beckmann, unfortunately, but we won't be giving up soon! These take some time to transcribe, so here's the first, Frank Morey's.

Henry Thompson's Death Certificate

Back in December I posted burial permits or death notices (obituaries) for four out of the five of our friends. I thought we'd found all five, but it turned out that the Henry Thompson we'd found in the Obituary Index was not our man. I've tried off and on to find him since then, and didn't have much luck... until today!

If you remember, his headstone does not contain a lot of information, only his name and birth and death years — not even the exact birth and death dates — so there was not a whole lot to go on.

Doing a search on ancestry.com, I saw a record for a Henry Thompson with the correct birth and death years, so I thought I might be onto something. The record required registration to view, but luckily our local branch of the library is set up to access the library version of their site. A quick drive, a few clicks of the mouse and some printer wrangling later, and we finally had a record of our eldest friend!

It's a bit easier to read in person, so I'll do my best to transcribe it here.*
